Programme management
Programme management requires the management of groups of projects. It is about structuring and controlling those projects so that they deliver collectively. .
Our consultant team have the breadth and depth of experience to understand a ‘whole organisation’ approach, balancing business and system needs as well as the challenges faced by individuals. We have worked on a number of large scale projects involving major process and culture change, e.g. a new e-procurement system for a group of public sector organisations.
Our experience also includes the implementation of new IT / IS programmes, providing support for the robust implementation of the new system and its rollout. We have supported organisations in the procurement of a new IT system from identifying service requirements, through defining technical requirements, bidder selection to full implementation. In doing so we take into account the need for:
  • Effective governance, legal compliance and minimisation of risk.
  • Recognition of a variety of stakeholders, users and customers of the new system and its associated processes.
  • Consistent application of standardised processes.
  • Focus on KPIs that measure the things that are important.

Project management
We offer two routes to well-managed projects. We can use PRINCE2 qualified consultants or our own project management approach, ProAct©, developed by drawing on the pragmatic experience of our consultants from their management and consulting lives. It is a simple yet effective project management methodology. It uses a lighter touch to cover the principal stages in any project and such critical elements as a sound communications plan. ProAct© can be provided to clients as part of consulting interventions but also a product in its own right.

Its lighter touch reduces the administrative burden of projects without sacrificing the rigour of good governance, exacting risk management, clear milestones and SMART objectives.
